Typical Responsibilities Include:
- Teach both lecture and laboratory courses as assigned, supporting student learning through effective instruction and hands-on learning experiences.
- Provide individual and small-group tutoring to support student learning and reinforce program curriculum.
- Evaluate, document, and grade competency assessments, practical examinations, and laboratory exercises.
- Prepare, organize, and maintain laboratory equipment, supplies, and instructional materials.
- Monitor, maintain, and perform the safety, functionality, and operational condition of laboratory and clinical equipment and supplies.
- Collect, organize, and maintain data to support program assessment, institutional reporting, and accreditation requirements.
- Utilize learning management systems/software as required for the role.
- Respond to student inquiries in a timely manner while maintaining standards of confidentiality and privacy.
- Complete all required institutional training and maintain regular communication by checking and responding to email consistently.
To Be Considered, You Will Need:
- A minimum of an associate’s degree in the field. A bachelor's degree is preferred
- Must hold a current credential as a Licensed Massage Therapist in Ohio for the past 3 years
- Must have a minimum of 3 years of full-time (or 6 years part-time) experience as a massage therapist.
- You have current knowledge of the massage therapy discipline including:
- current trends and direction of the profession,
- clinical knowledge in interventions, procedures, and treatments, and
- must have thorough knowledge of critical care as it relates to massage therapy
- Effectively communicate with multifaceted student populations
- Strong organizational skills
- Critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Prior teaching in the discipline is also preferred
- Must be able to work evenings and weekends
